A citizen abandons everything to begins a personal quest to learn more about one of the most mundane chemical products: plastic. After two years of research, this film presents an enlightening analysis of its production and effect.

“Art technology and environment” are seeking a new environmental ethics, this seminar explores the stakes in exchange between artistic production, technological research and networked ecology. With the artists Richard Box (GB), HeHe (F), Beatriz da Costa (USA/F), researcher Philipppe Langlois (F) and philosopher Frédéric Neyrat (Biopolitique de la catastrophe, MF éditions, Paris 2008)

Dr. Frédéric Neyrat is a French philosopher and previously programme director of the International College of Philosophy. He is a member of the editorial committee at the journal Multitudes, he collaborates regularly for the journal Rue Descartes and Ctheory. He is the author of books on Martin Heidegger, his interests’ centre on questions of biopolitics, immunopolitics and ecopolitics.
